2017 Scholarship Recipients

Thanks to all applicants that took the time to submit applications to us. We extended 17 applications and received 7 for review.  Funding and support allowed us the opportunity to provide two scholarships instead of one for this calendar year!  We are pleased to announce that the Granny's Angels 2017 Scholarship has been awarded to the following recipients.

Congratulations on a job well done, ladies!  Your hard work and determination paid off and we would like to recognize and encourage your educational efforts.

Johnston County Annual Relay for Life Cancer Event

Angels sharing and spreading love at the annual Johnston County Relay for Life event held on June 2, 2017 at SSS field - Smithfield.  Granny's Angels also donated a financial contribution towards cancer research to help find a cure.

Soup Kitchen Community Service

Every 4th Tuesday, the Angels team up together helping out at the local soup kitchen. We also provide a financial donations to assist families in need. 

Diabetes 3K Walk  
Saturday, June 10 at 10:00AM

Granny's Angels met at Benson Middle School Park on Saturday, June 10, 2017 for a 3K walk supporting Team Strickland.  We were a proud sponsor of this event and enjoyed the fellowship and participation.

Granny's Angels also provided a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation on behalf of the Strickland family and purchased fundraiser items to fulfill the donation request. 

Remember to get checked and support someone you know who may be a diabetic - it is a rewarding experience!
